Today is National Yo-Yo Day. In honor of this fun day, here is a helpful tip brought to you by the Hand Critters.
While you are at it, here is a page with easy yo-yo tricks to start you on your path to mastery. You can also impress your audience with some great trivia about this popular toy: Did you know that three U.S. presidents (Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon) showed off their yo yoing skills while in office? And why not mention yo-yo’s obscure origins: some say it originated in China around 500-1000 B.C., but others point to circa 500 B.C. Greece. What do you think? Tell us about the first time you played played with a yo-yo, or share your best yo-yo trick by posting a comment below or on our Facebook page.
The Hand Critters are an ever-growing family of cute critters made from the outline of their creator’s hand. They are available on gifts such as t-shirts, mugs, ornaments, cases for iPod, iPad and iPhone, and more. When shopping for gifts for yourself, your family or your friends, visit the Hand Critter store for a great selection.
The Hand Critters also star in two ABC books for the little ones at home. We have an edition in English and another in Spanish.
